Word Learning Across Speakers

If you have a child between 22 and 24 months of age, you can have them take part in this interesting and fun study!

In this study, we use kids’ eye movements to understand if infants are able to generalize word learning across speakers. Your child will start by watching a fun cartoon while listening to a language sketch in “Italian”.  After being familiarized with this language, your child will see several new interesting objects paired with unfamiliar words. Finally, we will test to see if your child was able to learn the novel object-label pairings by examining their looking behavior. The whole session takes no more than 30 minutes.
