For Parents

At the Infant Language and Perceptual Learning Lab, we study how babies learn so much about language so quickly. We investigate how sights and sounds affect what babies can learn about language. To do this, we need the participation of real babies! If there is an infant in your home, and you are interested in helping with our studies, please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Generally, we have several ongoing studies at any given time. Each study has an age group associated with it. This means your infant can only participate in a study within a certain time window, depending on his or her birthday. After obtaining key information about your baby’s birth, we will tell you the ideal times to bring your child in for a study, and assist you in scheduling an appointment.

Using the links to the right, you can sign up to participate, or find out more about our lab.
